The Movement
We commit to integrity documenting specific actions, citing sources, and distinguishing facts from partisan interpretation.
We believe the Constitution and rule of law must apply equally to every American and constrain every elected official.
We believe in a better future for our families, communities, and country, and we are dedicated to building it together.
We commit to speaking up and taking action to defend constitutional values, even when it is difficult or unpopular.
This chapter of Indivisible.org began in February 2025 on the recommendation of friends in Denver who sensed our need to interact with people and have conversations regarding the political climate.
Our group has grown from a small protest at the Wyoming State Capitol to weekly meetings. We host guest speakers and community events to help educate and inform. In addition, we have made community connections with civic groups in Laramie County. Our goal is to develop action plans each week so that we leave each gathering with hope and a sense purpose.
One of our early events included hosting guided tours of the Capitol building. The tours instilled a renewed sense of pride in our state. We were drawn to the message of the Four Sisters Statues in the Rotunda. They represent the values, “Trust, Justice, Courage and Hope”.
For many of us, growing up in Cheyenne was enhanced by the location of the Capitol. Friends spent hours on end around the building and take special tours to the top stairs inside the gold dome. High School students from around the state attended American Legion Girls State and Boys State each summer. Elected officials were our neighbors. We saw each other at social gatherings, at church and grocery stores. We talked to each other.
When asked, “Who are you people?” Our response is that we are, “Veterans, educators, families, Wyoming friends and neighbors, caregivers and students.
Indivisible Cheyenne is evolving with current events. We build community by showing up for each other. We have fun!
We ask ourselves this question, “What needs to happen in the next 50 years to ensure Wyoming remains in, or rediscovers, its role as the “Equality State.” (essay question from the Wyoming We the People, state finals)
Indivisible Cheyenne builds community -a network of Wyoming citizens who communicate respectfully, and act cooperatively to preserve the integrity of the values we share and a representative government that works for all of us.
Laramie County represents Wyoming at its most diverse—home to F.E. Warren Air Force Base, a historic capital city, ranching communities, and growing suburban neighborhoods. Our residents draw on rural self-reliance, military discipline, entrepreneurial innovation, and deep ties to the land.
We support Laramie County residents—regardless of political affiliation—who seek to protect constitutional rights: free speech, free exercise of religion, due process, and the separation of powers that prevents any branch or individual from becoming a law unto themselves.
Indivisible Cheyenne is a non-profit organization and a growing network of local residents united by a commitment to democratic values. We bridge multiple community organizations and include traditional conservatives, independents, progressives, and the politically unaffiliated. We are veterans, educators, health providers, business owners, students, and retirees.
We are united not by ideology, but by a shared belief in constitutional governance. While affiliated with the national Indivisible movement for resources, our focus is local. We are strictly non-partisan and welcome anyone concerned about the future of our democracy, regardless of party. There are no membership dues.
Like many Americans, we are watching developments that challenge the foundations of our democracy. We see a systematic elimination of oversight, defiance of judicial rulings, and the classification of peaceful dissent as a threat.
These aren’t partisan issues—they are documented actions that threaten constitutional limits on power. As Wyomingites, we value independence, integrity, and accountability. Those values require us to speak up when we see these boundaries being crossed.
Our mission is to Engage, Educate, and Act. We facilitate support at a time of division by focusing on our shared democratic principles.
We Educate: We monitor and document actions that violate constitutional constraints. We host weekly meetings, public events, and forums to educate community members on specific issues.
We Engage: We bring people together to build a healthier, more cohesive community. We coordinate with other organizations to protect our freedoms and promote good governance.
We Act: We empower our community to make their voices heard. We write, we meet, and we work to convince our representatives to act for the common good and uphold our country’s foundational principles.
In a time of increasing isolation, it’s more important than ever to come together. The threats to our constitutional constraints don’t build slowly—they compound. Once gone, they protect no one, regardless of political party.
We believe in the Wyoming values of Truth, Justice, Courage, and Hope. If you believe in democratic principles and the rule of law, we invite you to work with us.
We meet weekly to discuss issues and plan our next steps.
Wednesdays, 4:30PM - 6:00PM
Usually at the Laramie County Library (check our events page for any updates)
Everyone is welcome. There are no membership dues, no requirements, and no litmus tests. Just bring your commitment to our shared values.
If you’re concerned about the direction you see things going, you are not alone. Indivisible Cheyenne welcomes citizens from all party lines to defend our constitutional freedoms and way of life.
Please let us know you are coming.
